Reduced glutathione is a tripeptide with an unusual gamma peptide bond between the glutamate side chain and cysteine. It is one of the most-used reference compounds in oxidative stress assays.
Note the storage line: the reduced form oxidises to GSSG on contact with air, and an opened vial left on the bench will drift out of specification.
